Realities of chronic disease
Chronic disease does not follow a straight line. Patients worsen gradually, stabilize temporarily, respond differently to treatment, and can be pushed off course by acute events that change what happens next. Yet many decisions are still made from snapshots: a stage, a threshold, a single lab value, or a one-time estimate of risk. That creates a practical problem. Teams may know where a patient stands today, but still have limited insights into where that patient is heading, how quickly things are changing, and whether a different strategy could meaningfully alter the path forward. BioTraject Systems is building a more dynamic and forward-looking approach to close that gap.

Rather than relying only on stage assignments or one-time risk estimates, NephroSync™ is being developed to support a more complete view of CKD progression using longitudinal patient data. Its goal is to make kidney disease progression easier to see, easier to interpret, and easier to act on.
